Early morning
This image was taken two weeks ago. Seeing flowers still in bloom this time of year used to be unusual when I was a kid. We still have flowers in bloom on our balcony, and the birches in the neighbourhood still have most of their leaves. We got the first snow a couple of days ago, and it felt like fall faded fast though.

Then years ago, on September 17th 2012, I published my first image on this webpage, an image with a similar composition, or framing, as this one. This image is perhaps not as simplified, or abstract, as the ten year old image. But to me there is a link between the two. The placement of the main subject within the frame is similar, and the contrast between the subject and the background is echoed.
