Stump with Fungus

This stump is just down the road from where I live. I’ve walked past it many times, but it was only after I browsed through a couple of the photography books I have that I found the inspiration to go and take a photo of the stump. I decided to take one of my older cameras out for a spin. Well, older in the context of digital cameras. It is a bit quirky, and does not have the bells and whistles of a brand new digital camera, but the image quality is still more than good enough.

Fading Fall

This image was taken two weeks ago. Seeing flowers still in bloom this time of year used to be unusual when I was a kid. We still have flowers in bloom on our balcony, and the birches in the neighbourhood still have most of their leaves. We got the first snow a couple of days ago, and it felt like fall faded fast though.
