This image is from the trip I made last summer together with the British photographer Steve Gosling and his wife. Great fun and great photography trip. The image is taken near Bakka, a small community along the fjord Nærøyfjorden. The fjord is a world heritage site, and it is lined by steep mountains, and this wedge shaped reflection which Steve drew my attention to, illustrates this quite well. (If you look under the menu item "Links" on the top right you will find links to Steves website and his online gallery at Exhibtr. If you are on a mobile device, look for the "menu" above the page title.)
Anemone Hepatica
Spring is here
We are approaching May, and this is the time of year we normally start seeing signs of spring. But this year spring came early, and a lot of flowers and trees have been in full bloom for over a week already. We have even had a couple of day where temperatures have been well above 20˚C, which is very warm for this time of year in Oslo.
Glass and Light
Here is an image form a little exercise I did on how to use and controll light with simple tools. The light is falling through the window behind the glasses, and I have used a few sheets of paper and cardboard to direct light where I wanted it.
Golden Straws
Blured
Images where all is a blur, where there are no sharply rendered elements from which the eye can explore the image, tend to be images you move away from rather quickly. But try to give an image like this a little more time. It might fuel your imagination in a way you did not anticipate. (I guess I could have used a title which would give you a hint about what it is, but I'll leave that to your imagination.)
Straw Arch
Five Fruits by one of them
Just a bit of fun with half a clementine and a LED head lamp.
Frosted Snow
Fern Frost
The patterns frost can form on glass surfaces are amazing, like this frost fern. The contrast in the original shot is low, so I have worked with contrast and light to emphasise the fern pattern.
